In 2002, Ed Lockett founded the Happy House in Petit Goave, Haiti. The Happy House is a Christian non-profit that focuses on supporting the development of Haitian children. The Happy house works with villages, schools and churches within Petit Goave and the surrounding areas, and their goal is to bring hope and love to people who might otherwise be forgotten. The Happy House has built bridges in order to access schools. They have helped churches in construction and roofing projects. Moreover, they have financially supported numerous schools and students throughout the area. The Happy House stood firm throughout the devastating earthquake of 2010, and helped to support the surrounding communiity. From the heights of mountain villages like Ikondo to the far off reaches of deaf villages, Ed and the Happy House continually serve as a beacon of light within the poverty stricken communities of Petit Goave and beyond. This film is only a short glimpse into the constant challenges and overwhelming mission of the Happy House.
